Engagement Photos at Comfy Cow Ice Cream in Louisville, Kentucky

This summer time engagement session with Marissa and Tamara was just lovely. We started the photoshoot at Comfy Cow for some vegan ice-cream, which you know is the best way to start or end an engagemetn session. Tamara and Marissa aren’t from Louisville, but we still wanted to include some of their favorite things to do while they were in town for photos. So we got ice cream and walked around the Clifton neighboorhood with their adorable dog, Baylee. Implementing activies into an engagement session that a couple already enjoys always makes the shoot feel more relaxing and it’s one of the ways I help people feel at ease when getting their photo taken. It was a laid back, low key and fun time!

Once you start reading below, can you tell a difference between this set of photos? I took photos on both my canon digital camera and an old-school canon AE-1 35mm film camera as well as a few polaroids. I’ve really been enjoying taking both photos and getting two different looks. I still love the depth of color and crispness of digital, but the nostagia of film gets me everytie. Shout-out to State Film Lab here in Louisville for developing my film and always doing amazing at it!
