3rd Turn Oldham Gardens, Louisville Wedding on Film & Digital

Oh, this wedding was a good one. I hadn’t photographed a wedding at 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens until this wedding and it was the most beautiful backdrop for Virginia and Jeff’s wedding. I started the day taking getting ready photos at the airbnb Virginia and her party were at. Everything else was at the gardens!

The couple wanted to hold off on doing a first look, which was perfectly fine with me. When it comes to doing a first look or not, I always say to do whatever makes you feel happiest and we’ll work around it when it comes to photos. So when I took portraits of Jeff and his party, I made sure that Virginia was hiding away and vice versa. No peeking till the ceremony!

The ceremony had the most drop-dead gorgeous flowers from Pure Pollen Flowers (everything they do is perfect) and the greenhouse made everything come together so well. After the ceremony, there was lots of hugging & crying and then we took a few more pictures before they danced the night away. There was a bonfire, too, which made the cloudy May day really cozy.

Virginia and Jeff requested film as an add on, which I was so excited to do! While I still take photos mostly digitally because it feels more secure and familiar to me, I absolutely adore the look of film and you’ll see film photos scattered in this blog post.

Shout out to all the wonderful vendors!
