Peterson Dumesnil House Wedding

We were so grateful to document James and Shara’s wedding day. It was a day filled with their friends and family, good food, ice cream (!!!) and the most adorable, unique details. Everything was tied together to make the day personal to Shara and James and their relationship. I think that was one of my favorite parts. Though as a photographer I do love any pretty details, I thought it was so cool that Shara put so much thought into theirs as well as making them pretty! She made paper flowers out of their favorite books (yay for Harry Potter, am I right?) for her bouquet, had quotes from their favorite books as center pieces and had a custom cake-piece of her and James riding a tandem bike . . . something I know was special for them to do together! And then they had a quartet playing all the best soundtracks. The “Anne of Green Gables” theme song made me tear up since that was on our wedding playlist and played at my Mom’s wedding when she married my Dad. <3 I know details can seem like just expensive frills and buttons, but there’s a way to be thoughtful and even save money (hurray for DIY). I love that about their day and so much more, but here’s the photos to prove it!
