Gramercy Louisville Wedding

Some days I have stop in the middle of what I'm doing and pinch myself. I did that a lot with David and Ellie . . . from the moment that Ellie first emailed me until when they were dancing away on their wedding day.

David and Ellie's love for each other and for the Lord shows not only in their wedding photos, but in the way they live. Their day was filled with laughter, celebration and praying that the March weather would be alright. And hey, it was a beautiful day.

Photographing the girls getting ready was the perfect way to start off the day; I don't think I've ever heard so much giggling. The groomsmen were some of the most respectful guys to be around and heck, they could dance. Every single one of the bridesmaids was gorgeous and a photographer's dream to photograph. By the time I left the wedding, I felt like I'd known them all forever. Ellie got to see David before the ceremony (he wanted to wait to see her and I loved capturing his reaction as she walked down the aisle!), so they shared a moment and I think it was the sweetest thing ever.

St. Johns United Church is filled with beautiful stain-glass windows and of history; how cool that I could photograph in it. Things were starting to turn green and bloom in the church's courtyard, where I took a lot of photos. I didn't have much time to get photos of David and Ellie before the sunset, but I always enjoy the time I get to spend with the bride and groom. And the Gramercy . . . what a beautiful place! The food was great, laughter was loud and there was plenty of dancing.
