As a photographer, there's so much more to learn about than just clicking the shutter button. I've been taking photos ever since I can remember and I still learn new things about photography every single day. Even then, I don't believe I'll ever reach the point where I know everything there is to know about composition, photoshop or posing.

I won't lie, being a photographer is hard. There's bills for things I never thought I would have to pay for, hours spent uploading and sorting files and many ups and downs. It's hard, but I love it. Constantly striving to find the best light or angle keeps blood pumping through my veins. Catching a mom embrace her daughter just before she walks down the aisle makes my heart beat a little faster.

We photographers are always widening our perspectives and letting details grab our attention. Always trying to take a new path to tell a story, but at the same time aiming to tell a story well.

My friend and fellow photographer, Hannah, did a fabulous job modeling for this shoot. I thought it was significant that she is a photographer too, cause that's what this shoot is about -- chasing light. Photographers are obsessed with it. This shoot is a little different than what I've done before, but I hope it means something to you . . . photographer or not. May we always be looking for the light.
