Intimate Kentucky Backyard Wedding | my first wedding

Robert and Katie's wedding was my very first wedding to shoot back in 2015 and I'm forever grateful that they hired me and trusted me to document their special day! I also had the ever faithful Hannah Elizabeth by my side as a second shooter, which was wonderful. 

I loved how their wedding was focused on the love they had for each other and their guests. Robert and Katie are both creative people: he makes guitars and is a musician, she styles hair. Creativity, simplicity and community were clearly valued over tradition by both Robert and Katie. For example, instead of Katie walking down the aisle, Robert and Katie met their guests and walked with them to where the ceremony was -- in an alfalfa field! They actually got married on the farm where Rob grew up, how cool is that? 

These two are both wonderful people and I was more than honored to capture their wedding day.
