Surprise Autumn Proposal on Auxier Ridge in Red River Gorge, Kentucky

Last November, Winn proposed to Elizabeth and it was the perfect fall day for it. Winn already knew which trail he wanted to propose on - Auxier Ridge in Red River Gorge - since it was a trail they had hiked a lot before and sentimental to them. Plus it has the best views . . . perfect for an engagement!

Winn kept the proposal a surprise for Elizabeth by telling her I was doing a puppy photo session of them and their dog, Sadie. While we did get plenty of puppy photos (cause Sadie is the most adorable!), we got the proposal on camera as well lots of couple photos of the two of them.

I hiked the trail earlier that week so that we could find the spot where not only the lighting was prettiest, but the fall foliage was the prettiest. I ended up finding a spot not too far into the trail. It was mid-November and the colors were still incredibly beautiful . . . lots of people think October is the prettiest month for fall, but I keep telling them not to sleep on November cause it’s stunning! I did a little Target run earlier that week and brought some champagne and flutes along so they could have a little drink to celebrate, Winn brought a cute little bandana for Sadie and the ring for Elizabeth (duh). Then both of them wore hiking boots which is a must for hiking in Red River Gorge!

Enjoy the pics of these three (can’t forget Sadie) cuties and congrats to the lovely couple!
