Laid-back Brunch Wedding at the Peterson-Dumesnil House

I keep saying this, but what an absolute beautiful day Sarah and Jacob’s wedding was. It was one of those calm cloudy Sundays, the kind where it’s supposed to rain but never actually does. Perfect for a cup of coffee, perfect for a morning brunch wedding.

Here’s some tidbits about their day that I adored:

— the flowers and the arbor, Amy, the florist did an amazing job!

— the couple’s handwritten vows that made everybody (including me) cry

— the dried lavender that guests tossed as they walked down the aisle

— the FOOD. Did I mention it was a brunch wedding? You know how much I love brunch weddings. Peterson Dumesnil catered and did a great job, as always.

— how stunning the couple is and how it was our first time meeting and my first time photographing them, but it felt like we’d known each other forever.

— the rain held off

— how calm and laid back everything was

— the fact that there was coffee at their wedding (a brunch wedding perk)

— the venue. We’ve worked at Peterson Dumesnil House a few times now and it’s one of our favorites here in Louisville.
