Backyard Wedding in Shelbyville, Kentucky
We had the best time photographing Lindsey and Dakota’s wedding last week! It was such a beautiful day and not hot at all (lucky for August in Kentucky, right?!).
They got married in Lindsey’s grandparents backyard which made the day even more special. Surrounded by their family and a few friends, they read their vows and afterwards ate pizza to celebrate. Sounds like the best day!
Lindsey and Dakota had wanted a small, laid back wedding from the beginning so Covid didn’t disturb their plans too much. I’m loving the small weddings. It brings people back to their roots and allows them to focus on what really matters to them. With the fluff and fuss gone, there’s more room for meaningful moments. Don’t get me wrong, I love a pretty venue, but there won’t ever be anything as special as getting married in your grandparents backyard where you used to play as a kid.
Enjoy the pics — Dakota and Lindsey are wonderful people and deserve all the happiness in the world!
