Wedding at the Brandenburg Inn Olin Guest House

I had the pleasure of knowing Mary and Jim as friends before I shot their wedding. And actually, I was at their house last night eating waffles. (Yep, I have cool clients.) I can't remember how we found out about each other exactly (I think it was because our town of Shelbyville was small and everyone knows everyone), but I knew Mary was a photographer and she knew I was so that instantly made us friends. Jim and Mary very laid-back, no nonsense folks but still some of the kindest people I know.

Both Jim and Mary leaned away from the traditional ways on their wedding day. It was a small outside wedding out in the country in Brandenburg, Kentucky. I loved how everyone came together to make their day special. I'll never forget it!

After the reception, Mary and Jim had plans to go on a dinner cruise. They even treated me and my then-boyfriend Johnathan to the cruise. (See, I told you they were kind people.) Johnathan's photos are scattered in amongst mine in this blog post . . . so thankful for his help that day!

Enjoy all the photographs and here's a shout out to all the wonderful people who pitched in:
